BlackBerry Bold 9650 from RIM set for release with numerous features

Although RIM did not announce as-of-yet but often said that BlackBerry Bold 9650 smartphone will be released by RIM in May. More than one month ago the announcement of Bold 9650 was made at RIM’s 2010 Wireless Enterprise Symposium (WES).

Yesterday, one more inventory leak popped up. If the leak is true and accurate, the BlackBerry Bold 9650 will definitely be launched on May 16. It will sell for $199.99 with a two year service agreement.

The off contact price of the BalckBerry Bold 9650 will be $449.99. This smartphone will come in two different flavors with a QWERTY keyboard. Company provided a hint that a new operating system and a browser are on their way. Still the shares of RIM droped 2.3% to $68.97, this is because the investors were disappointed with its effort to fend off the competition from Apple and Google.

Today at the WES show RIM was expected an official announcement for its new BlackBerry Bold 9650 but this looks as the street beat them to it. BlackBerry has many attractive features in it like it supports for dual band CDMA/EV-DO Rev A networks ot the quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS. The features also include 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, High-resolution display and GPS. The phone also has a camera of 3.2 megapixel. Presently this will be available at Bell, Telus and Roders in Canada.

BlackBerry Bold 9650 is originally a revamped version of the Tour 9630. It is launched with some changes such as RIM changed a new trackpad in the place of its previous problematic keypad. RIM also added a Wi-Fi support and slightly beefed up its processor. It is sized 4.4 x 2.4 x 5.6 inches. The phone also comes with an internal memory of 512 MB storage. The main and big difference is the replacement of the dodgy trackball with an optical pad.

Today RIM announced the launching of BlackBerry Bold 9650. This way RIM has a track record of refining hardware of it with the near-surgical precision from one generation to the next generation of BlackBerry. This is really a deliberate evolution. The evolution is exactly how we would describe the CDMA and GSM equipped Bold 9650.
