Tata Motors launches Aria: crossover between SUV's power and sedan's luxury
Tata Motors launches the new Tata Aria, its latest crossover this festive season. Tata Aria which is the first Indian four wheel drive crossover is a perfect amalgamation of power of an SUV with the luxury and comfort of a sedan.
The Indian automobile giant launches Aria in three trim levels in the country; the Aria Prestige and Aria Pleasure and the top end Aria Pride which is a fully loaded model. All the variants will come with 4x4 option. The crossover is anticipated to hit the Indian roads with a price tag of Rs. 10 lac.
Tata Aria comes with a finesse of a sedan with bold styling and redefined designing. The vehicle boasts of uncluttered lines and dynamic roofline together with aesthetics of chrome detailing on its sides and the trademark Tata grille. On the inside the Aria is a spacious wagon with 3 rows theatre styled seating and collapsible middle row that makes it roomier for luggage and provides increased legroom. The vehicle is equipped with Torque on Demand system that improves its all-terrain capabilities.
The interior of the Tata Aria vehicle also showcase the uncompromising richness and élan with its premium leather upholstery, AC vents on pillars and roof and height adjustable drivers’ seat and tilt adjustable steering that makes the driving experience more pleasurable and comfortable. The vehicle possesses an in-dash navigation system, driver information system, 2-din music system, Bluetooth and cruise control. Its automatic climate control makes sure that the cabin temperature is ambient. The other features include rain sensing wipers, reverse guide camera, multiple utility bins and steering mounted music control and phone.
The power, driverability and safety identical to an SUV also run in the DNA of Tata Aria. The vehicle is powered by a 2.2 L Direct Injection Common Rail (DICOR) engine with variable turbine technology that generates 140PS power and 320Nm torque. The engine is mated with the 4x4 advantage and an all wheel drive with a torque on demand. Aria offers suspension that ensures optimum balance between stability, vehicle control and driving comfort to give you a sedan- like driving quality with SUV-like muscle and offraoding capabilities.
Aria is not only a powerhouse of performance but comes with a host of best in class safety features that makes it the one of the safest cars on Indian roads. The car is equipped with Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) offering automatic stabilizing features to the car and Traction Control System (TCS) to maintain vehicle’s stability in sudden acceleration situations. The other safety features include ABS with EDB, disc brakes on all wheels and 6 airbags.
