Tata Indicom launches BlackBerry Bold 9650 smartphone

Despite the controversy over sharing of information with government, Blackberry is making strong presence in Indian telecom market. Tata Indicom is new entrant in the market offering BlackBerry. Tata Indicom launched Blackberry Bold 9650 in India.


Tata Indicom is the CDMA arm of telecom service provider of Tata Teleservices. The smartphone is offering global roaming and an optical trackpad. It is also equipped with enhanced Wi-Fi and GPS capabilities.


Customers who will be purchasing the product in the month of October will be given a special data usage offer. The offer will only persist for the first two months and they will receive a free data pack worth Rs.900 per month and 500 MB of tethered modem data for a month.


India’s youngest and fastest-growing dual-technology pan-India telecom services provider along with Research in Motion (RIM) announced the launch of the BlackBerry Bold 9650. Smartphone for CDMA subscribers are getting exclusive offers on global roaming, 512 MB of Flash Memory.

BlackBerry Bold 9650 smartphone customers of October 30, will have exclusive access to Tata’s Photon TV, powered by Photon +. The BlackBerry Bold 9650 Smartphone has a stylish and compact design with soft rounded edges. It is easy-to-use full-QWERTY keyboard. Bluetooth 2.1 and a 3.2-megapixel camera with flash, image stabilization and video recording are also a part of this phone.
