This time Sony Erickson too is in an aim to get a considerable share to the smart phone segment in India. The mobile market segment is mainly dominated by Nokia, Blackberry and Apple currently.

However Sony is not willing to give up its share and it is keen to have its pie in the market and so to keep up to that segment it has launched Vivaz in India. The customers of Sony are extremely happy and they feel that with this new launch the mobile giant will capture a lot of the market.

This is a high end mobile phone which is expected to come in the price ranges between Rs.25, 695- Rs.35, 795 in India. The Vivaz in India have been launched in five different devices. These include the Xperia X10, Xperia X10 mini, Xperia X10 Mini Pro, Vivaz and Vivaz Pro. All these high end mobile phones are wanted by upwardly mobile customers.

Communication and entertainment would certainly reach a different level with the use of this device. Social media would play an important role in these handsets. In order to remain engaged with the consumers, the authority of Sony Erickson made an effort to leverage the digital as well as the platforms of the social media.

Apart from this, on the side of the content, the mobile company has extended its partnership with regional as well as local providers of application and content. These providers would include MTV India, UTV, Shemaroo, Electronics Art, Indiagames and Disney. The company has made Kareena Kapoor as the brand ambassador of the company and this move is sure to have made it a lot popular.

Sony Erickson is also in a plan to launch almost similar handsets in lower rates starting from Rs 5000 onwards. This was announced by the Hirokazu Ishizuka, the Vice- President and Head of Asia Pacific region.
