Sony Ericsson, the Japanese- Swedish brand announced Sony Ericsson Vivaz as the successor to its flag ship model, the Satio. The phone comes with great social networking and multimedia features galore. Vivaz is the ideal phone for all the YouTube fans as the phone is the HD video shooting gadget that can record 720p HD video at 25 frames per second which sounds pretty impressive.

The users of Sony Vivaz can easily upload videos to YouTube and stay socially connected very easily. The phone has integration with social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Its 8.1 MP camera enables you to capture HD 720p videos and comes with autofocus, face recognition and smiles, an array of shooting settings and image stabilization.

Sony Vivaz is ergonomically designed that fits the contour of your hands. It really feels nice to hold with the curve of the back fitting nicely into the palm. It boasts of a latest design format though at the first glance it will give you a look of a budget handset with its thin plastic backing. But on a closer look you will find the phone is truly a midrange handset with some amazing qualities. It feels light and just weighs 97 grams and is one of the lightest handsets in the range. The size is just accurate it is neither too small nor too large.

Sony Vivaz runs on Symbian S 60 5th edition. The phone boasts of a diagonal 3.2 inches touchscreen with 640 X 360 pixels, supports a media player, built-in GPS, 3.5G support, a 720 MHz processor and Wi-Fi. Among other specifications are Bluetooth 2.0, A2DP and a memory card slot for microSDHC. It comes with 75 MB of internal memory and includes an 8GB micro SD card.

The new Sony Vivaz is available in four colors namely, Moon Silver (silver), Galaxy Blue (blue), Venus Red (red) and Cosmic Black (black). Sony has not officially announced its pricing but it is rumored to be priced at $700 and according to one of the users who just bought the phone from a local cell phone shop in India, it cost him Rs. 24,500.

Vivaz from Sony features a built-in GPS that offers location based services which helps you to find the way to your destination much easily. You can also add location information to your images using the geotagging function. Its touch user interface makes navigation very intuitive. You can browse the media menu, play your favorite music or adjust your camera settings very smoothly.
