Samsung introduces the Bada platform brings the Wave to India.

Samsung wave resealed way back in February has already occupied a place in the Indian mobile industry with its slim and classy design it has always been an eye catcher in the market. The features of the device are comparable to any of the Android devices available in the market and this makes the device a competition to any of the devices obtainable from the market.

Samsung wave has dimensions 108.9 x 53.5 x 10.9 mm and weighs about 118 grams. It has a 3.3" screen with 16M-color capacitive touchscreen with 800 x 480 pixel resolution. The screen is powered with the AMOLED technology and supports excellent graphics quality. The phone even supports a 1 GHz processor speed to provide excellent application speed. The phone supports a camera of 5 MP and runs the TuuchWIz user interface that Samsung claims is the most advanced UI available.

The phone comes packed with a 2GB or 8GB internal storage (depending on cost) and a memory slot that is expandable up to 32GB via a MicroSD card. To stay connected, the Samsung Wave utilizes class 10 versions of both GPRS and EDGE. Internet via the 3G technology is available at speeds of up to 7.2 MB per second using the HSDPA connection along with HSUPA .   Wi-Fi Technology is also utilized which takes advantage of the signals provided by wireless Internet routers,and provides an enhanced browsing experience<.

Samsung wave supports the Bada Os that Samsung has been boasting for a long time now. Bada platform can be applied to a wide range of devices that includes smartphones like Wave and the company is still researching on its possibility to use it on tablets and TVs.Though the company claims that the OS has many apps waiting to be approved but if we hear the tech pundits - the OS is still in its infant stage and only around 150 apps are available for the device.

The company is planning of releasing the phone for around 10,000 in India and hopes to hit big in the market. With this aim in mind the company wants to launch about 8 smartphones in the market whereas it currently has only two.
