Samsung Continuum to debut with world's first ticker display on Nov 11

Samsung Mobile will debut world’s first dedicated mobile phone with ticker display on November 11, 2010. Continuum is the latest Galaxy S smartphone by Samsung that is designed with a dedicated ticker display for the very first time in the world.

The new Samsung Continuum features two separate but integrated displays: a 3.4-inch touch screen super AMOLED main display and a customizable 1.8-inch super AMOLED dedicated ticker display that provides its users customizable information in real time. The users get up-to-the-minute news, sports, finance and social networking updates for maximized multitasking.

Samsung Continuum features Android 2.1 and runs on 1GHz Hummingbird Application Processor. The handset has 5 MP camera with auto-focus, LED flash with HD video recording and playback capabilities. The camera lets you capture photos and videos for playback in 720p on your HD television. The 3G enabled handset supports Google Mobile Services including Gmail, YouTube, Android Market and more. Continuum comes with advanced touch screen gesture capabilities with full HTML web browsing facilities.

The connectivity features of Samsung Continuum include stereo Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. You get 8GB memory pre installed with the Continuum that can be expanded up to 32 GB. As mentioned earlier the unique ticker display offers users an opportunity to select what content they want on the ticker by selecting from menu on display. Its grip sensor lights up the ticker display by just touching the bottom of the handset and give you real time updates on social networking services, IM, email, message and weather. The phone come pre loaded with Bing Maps and Bing Search.

New Samsung Continuum will be available for order beginning November 11 on Verizon Wireless Communications for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a two year customer contract and data package. Verizon also releases Samsung Galaxy Tab on November 11 for $599.99.
