Renault F1 signs Vitaly Petrov, 1st Russian driver in Formula One team

Renault F1 has signed Vitaly Petrov in their F1 team (Formula 1 team). Vitaly Petrov is the first Russian F1 driver to be signed by Renault F1 team. Vitaly Petrov will partner with Robert Kubica in F1 team of Renault for 2010 season. Renault is French car company with good track record on F1 circuit. Vitaly Petrov may drive F1 Renault car R30 in 2010 F1 season.


Vitaly Petrov is 25 years old from Russian. Before joining Renault F1 team, Vitaly Petrov was driver for GP2. Vitaly Petrov started his professional F1 career at the age of 18 in 2003. Vitaly Petrov in the F1 Renault team will boost business prospect of Renault in Russian market (one of fast growing car market in World). Vitaly Petrov entry in F1 Renault team is also expected to bring new sponsors for F1 Renault team.


Sergei Zlobin was the first F1 driver in F1 circuit in 2002. Sergei Zlobin was driver for Minardi.

Russia has its very first Formula 1 racing driver today, as Renault F1 officially confirmed Vitaly Petrov in their second seat for 2010. Petrov will partner Robert Kubica, who had already been announced last year.
