Nokia X2 music phone launched in India

Nokia has launched yet another X –Series phone in India, the new Nokia X2. The launch came after the company’s earlier launch of Nokia N8 very recently. The X2 is been designed after taking inspiration from its bigger brothers, the Nokia X3 and Nokia X6. The phone is due to be seen in the Indian market at the end of June and the country will be the first one to lay its hands on it.

This latest X Series phone from Nokia is targeted at the middle range customers and therefore is expected to be priced around the 90 pounds mark.  In India the X2 from Nokia will be priced approximately at Rs. 5500 though the company is yet to reveal the pricing structure.

The Nokia X2 is a beautiful candybar style phone measuring less than 13mm in depth and 80 grams in weight. The phone looks sleek and light weight and is packed with a bouquet of features. The Nokia X2 is a Nokia Series 40 mobile phone and comes with Bluetooth 2.1 and USB 2.0.

It features a 2.2 inch QVGA display and a 5 megapixel camera. Both Nokia X3 and Nokia X6 received a 3 star rating with respect to 3G reviews and the same quality and performance is expected from Nokia X2 also.

Nokia X2 is also packed with some of the great music features including an FM radio, dual speakers, dedicated music keys, a full speed USB 2.0 that makes music transfer fast, and an optional 3.5mm headphone jack. The user can also manage music via the Ovi Player PC client or Windows Media Player 11.

Apart from these features the Nokia X2 also offers a direct access to social networking sites for the young social networking freaks. Facebook can be directly accessed from the home screen. The phone also supports Nokia Messaging goodness for email and Instant Messaging.

The user can also get an instant access to apps from Ovi Store. The new Nokia X2 comes with 16GB of storage via MicroSD card and a video recorder. Currently, the phone will be available in two colors in India- Red and Blue.
