Nokia E72 Price in India

Nokia E72 priced very low may challenge BlackBerry dominance. It might sound unbelievable to many, but Nokia’s E72 may just give BlackBerry a run for its money. The Communicator and E71 were good, but not good enough to challenge the dominance of BlackBerry. With its Nokia E72, Nokia seems all set to throw a serious challenge to Research in Motion. Here are the strong points of the Nokia E72.

Nokia E 72 E-mail and software

BlackBerry has always been known for its great e-mail facilities. The e-mail services on the Nokia E72 are excellent too, with smooth support for Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes and Nokia’s own Nokia Messaging. All you need is entering your username and password to get started.

Nokia has started using Symbian Series 60 (3rd edition) Feature Pack 2 for its E series to get a nice interface. The icons are similar, but things have become much faster.

Nokia E72 Keypad, battery life

The keypad of the Nokia E72 is not as spacious as BlackBerry’s, but the keys are so designed that they are easy to use and proud enough to prevent wrong typing. The D-pad that doubles up as a Navi key allows you to browse menus and scroll up and down by just running your fingers over it. It is perhaps a better solution than BlackBerry’s because the scrolling space is confined only to the D-pad.

Nokia E 72 seems to have stolen BlackBerry’s thunder as far as battery life is concerned. It needed charging only once in two days despite being used for browsing the net daily for a couple of hours, taking calls and letting push mail run on three different accounts. Regarding specs, the Nokia E 72 is okay in terms of connectivity and processor speed. The onboard memory needs improvement though.

Nokia E72 Multimedia, app support

The Nokia E 72 has a 5.0 megapixel camera that is among the best you can find. Regardless of the video quality and display size, a good 5.0-megapixel shooter alone makes a huge difference, more so when you snap pictures of pages and visiting cards. Sound quality is inferior to what you get in BlackBerry devices. Symbian S60 has additional third party apps. So if you are looking for something extra, scout around and you will in all likelihood find it on a web site.

Importantly, the Nokia E 72’s price is much lower than any of the high-end BlackBerry devices. Are you listening, RIM?
