Nissan recalls Infiniti QX56, Armada, Quest and Nissan Titan model cars
Nissan has recalled its Infiniti QX56, Armada, Quest and Nissan Titan model due to fuel gauge and brake pin related problems. These cars are built between 2005 to 2008. Overall Nissan has recalled around 540,000 vehicles mainly in US market. After Toyota and Honda, Nissan is third Japan auto company to recall its cars due to various problems.
It is reported that Nissan has also recalled Frontier, Pathfinder and Xterra model of cars which were manufactured in early 2006 and 2007. The company has not given any future plan of action. The company has blamed its dealers of these parts responsible for these problems.
Reportedly Nissan motor have recalled around 75,000 cars in home market in Japan also.
The problem identified for recall are brake pin and fuel gauge related. The Nissan cars with these faulty pins have problem in normal functioning of brakes. The fuel tank problem is mostly in cars with high mileage. The fuel indicators of these car does not giving proper information on fuel inside the tank. This can lead to car getting out of fuel while on run leading to accidents.
