Lemon Mobiles brings 3G enabled W100 handset at price Rs. 3,500

Affordable and feature rich handsets are the ‘in-thing’ these days and in India we see a flood of mobile phones that are affordable yet offer best-in class features and Lemon Mobiles W100 is the most recent to come with a 3G handset. The mobile maker aims to create a new market segment with the launch the new 3G enabled device at an aggressive price tag of Rs. 3,500 in India.

The company expects to provide its customers a host of entertainment and enterprise applications with the latest 3G offering. The handset will be available in India from November 2010.

Lemon Mobiles has the most aggressive product portfolio in its sleeve. The company aims to make it big not only in the 3G segment but soon we may hear Lemon Mobiles launching its first Android based smartphone and looking at the past history of the company we expect this handset to come within the affordable price brackets like its other phones.

Lemon Mobiles is promoted by Fastrack Communications and the 3G handset will be available pan India. The company however understands that the acceptance of the 3G handset, also called W100, will depend upon other factors including the tariff plan and the pricing of the 3G services in the country.

Presently 3G services in India is offered by state owned BSNL and MTNL but soon other service providers will join the race. Private service providers such as Airtel and Vodafone will bring the 3G services by the end of this year while India’s largest service provider Tata DOCOMO has announced its plans to launch 3G services by this Diwali.

The 3G enabled mobile Lemon W100 comes with features including an advanced 3G service, dual camera for video call facility and other entertainment features such as music player, Live Mobile TV and video player.
