Is One Paise per Second Tariff plan for mobiles is cheaper or costly

One paise per second call billing plans is recent trend started by Indian mobile companies.  Tata Docomo, Airtel, Aircel, Idea celllular and Vodafone has introduced per second call rate with one paise per second call rate for both STD and local call for existing and new customers. One paise per second plan is mostly offered in all the their operating circles by the mobile operators.

Mobile service providers in India have brought a significant change in their tariff plan by introducing the One Paise per Second Billing Plan. In a time when the currency called paise has almost disappeared the cellular service providers around the country are occupied in introducing new tariff plans like pay per second. This is a definitely unique change and the mobile subscribers are also finding it really interesting.

The existing cellular customers with traditional plans are the ones who are wondering most whether they should shift to this new plan or not.

One paise per second call billing plan was first introduced in India by the new cellular service provider TATA DOCOMO.  They are the first one to introduce it with the idea that the customers should pay only for what they use. So TATA DOCOMO started of their service in India with per paise billing. But this created a sensation in the market and became a big success. The next thing is the usual outcome: almost all other veteran players in the market had started to join the band wagon. Most of these cellular providers have now come up with their own per paise billing plans.

One paise per second has the option of new subscribers as well the existing customers availing its advantages. So if you are an existing customer and are interested in switching on to One Paise Per Second you can try.

Is One paise per second plan costlier or cheaper over existing mobile tariff plans

One paise per second plan, like everything else, also has its advantages as well as disadvantages. But in its case advantages are more visible than disadvantages. It's biggest advantage and appeal is that here you are paying for what you have used. Here every second counts. Earlier you would have paid for one minute even if you had talked only for 20 seconds. But here the billing will be only for 20 seconds and not for the entire minute. However it has its disadvantages and especially for people whose calls generally last for a few minutes.

The cheapest plan in market is Simply Reliance in which you need to pay 50 paise per minute for all local and STD call. So if your call is for less than 50 seconds, it will be cheaper in one second tariff plans. However if your call last for more than 50 second but less than one minute, than Simply Reliance is cheaper plan as you will have to pay 60 paise for a minute call under per second tariff plans.

Again if your call duration is more than one minute but less than 100 second, one paise per second plan will be cheaper. However for call having duration more than 100 seconds but less than 120 seconds, than Simply Reliance plan will be cheaper.

In nutshell, one paise per second plans are cheaper for customers who make short duration calls, but may not be cheaper for customers who make long duration calls. So now you can compare and can try out this new plan.
