Indian festive season gets added sparkle with the launch of luxury cars from top players and Hyundai just added its bit to make Diwali all the more glittering. As promised earlier, Hyundai, India’s second largest automobile maker launched its latest SUV Santa Fe to tap the yet-to-be explored SUV segment in the country.

Santa Fe which is an internationally acclaimed SUV by the South Korean car maker is set to hit the Indian roads with bookings that start from October 18. The Santa Fe will be priced between Rs. 20.95 lac and Rs. 22.95 lac (ex-showroom price Delhi) in India.

Hyundai Santa Fe will be available with 2.2 L engine with optional 2 and 4 wheel drive. The vehicle comes with six speed manual transmission and is capable of reaching 0-60 kmph in just 9.5 seconds. Santa Fe will rock the Indian roads with a maximum speed of 190 km/h. The CDRi turbo engine develops 197 hp and 422 Nm torque between 1800 and 2,500 rpm.

Those were the power figures of the new Hyndai Santa Fe, now coming to style and looks features; the SUV is definitely a showstopper. The vehicle boasts of its revamped front grille and new head, tail and fog lamps. The other styling features that make Santa Fe a looker is its 17 inch five spoke alloy wheel, chrome door handles and exterior mirror with built- in indicators. The SUV will come as a complete CBU in India so we can be sure that the vehicle adheres to the styling features common to its European and American counterparts.

Santa Fe gives back an ARAI confirmed mileage of 14.6 kmpl with a fuel economy of 35.6 mpg thanks to its latest alternator management system. The vehicle’s CO2 emission figures are 174 g/km. The seven -seater SUV has been introduced with low resistance tires and a new interior. The vehicle features leather wrapped steering wheel, new instrument panel, large LCD screen connected to the parking assist system and navigation sytem. The SUV also has an optional rear view camera with start stop button and active headrest that promises safety to driver and passengers. It has a 6 CD changer, ac vents with independent control knobs and many storage bins.

Hyundai has also delivered great safety features to Santa Fe including 2 airbags, parking sensors, smart keys, EBD, ABS and rear seat belts. The vehicle also comes with electronic stability control and anti-lock brakes.
