HTC smartphone HD7 launched, based on Windows 7Phone through T-Mobile

After the launch of Microsoft’s latest OS, the revamped Windows 7 Phone, many top mobile manufacturers are launching smartphone based on the latest OS and HTC is the first to do that. The leading mobile company launched its HD7 through official carriers T-Mobile. HTC HD 7 features a huge 4.3- inch touch screen and is powered by 1GHz Snapdragon processor. The handset will be available in mid-November this year.

HTC HD7 comes with features offered by Microsoft including a ‘Live Tiles’ feature. This allows users get a clear display of various phone apps in the form of tiles instead of icons commonly seen in many smartphones. This helps the user see what is going on in the apps without the need to open them.

HD7 also comes with yet another feature by Microsoft called ‘Windows Phone Hub’ that compiles apps, content and services into one view and allows users to sync their contacts and access contents on the go.

The other specifications of HTC HD7 include a unique kickstand that enables you to have an epic cinematic experience and enjoy the magic of your favorite movies and videos. Its large 4.3 inch screen helps you enjoy games with Xbox Live and play and share with friends. The handset lets you capture incredible quality images with a 720p HD camcorder. It has a 5 MP camera with auto focus and dual LED flash. The phone comes with an internal storage of 16GB (Asia) and offers 3G, GPRS, EDGE and Wi-Fi.

The new Windows 7 Phone by HTC comes with multimedia features including music and videos Hub powered by Zune which lets you listen to radio, download music and more. It also has Dolby Mobile and SRS surround sound. The handset offers integration for various social networking sites such as Facebook and Windows Live.

Its 1230 mAh battery offers a talk time of up to 380 minutes and standby time of up to 310 hours on GSM. The connectivity options of HD7 include Bluetooth v 2.1 with EDR, A2DP for wireless stereo handsets, 3.5 mm headset jack and a standard micro-USB.

HTC HD 7 will be pitched against other smartphones powered by the much popular Android which includes HTC’s own baby, the HTC Desire among others. It would certainly be tantalizing to see what HTC does with WP7 and how far it reaches the smartphone race with the power of the latest OS by Microsoft.
