HP announces the release of web OS2.0 and Palm Pre 2 on Verizon
HP announced the release of webOS 2.0 and Palm Pre 2. webOS 2.0 today. Both webOS 2.0 and Palm Pre are the first major updates in the webOS smartphone platform. The first model, which was exclusive to Sprint, the new Phone will launch on Verizon.
The first webOS which was released in April early this year was available in CDMA phone even the above mentioned two will be available like that of the original CDMA phones only The webOS2.0 will develop more on the previous version webOS1. The webOS offers multitasking and helps in managing multiple apps by grouping.
Hardware-wise, the Palm Pre 2 is a more revised version of the Palm Pre. The speed of the processor has been boosted to 1 GHz. The design is sleeker than before and has a vertical slider keyboard design. The CDMA version of the phone will be exclusive to Verizon, with a release date due in the coming months. Verizon customers will have access to Skype Mobile application, allowing Skype calls and messaging.
The whole announcement is good news for all the users of this operating system. webOS 2.0 and the Palm Pre 2 both good upgrades pretty worthy enough. The introduction of a developer handset is also encouraging.
