BlackBerry 9670: the next Flip by RIM available in US

BlackBerry 9670 or the Pearl Flip was very much appreciated When it was launched. Later on it was figured out that the product was good but the low end specifications didn’t seem to work out for the users. The product is available in the US market for $ 99.99 with a 2 year contract from Sprint.

The good part of the BlackBerry 9670 id its external display for notifications and its spacious easy to type keyboard, the things which have been complained about is it being too bulky when the flap opens and the battery life fails to gives support when needed.

The features of BlackBerry 9670 includes a 2.7inch QVGA (360x400) display and a 2” 240 x 320 external display. The hardware is 624 MHz CPU, and comes with a 512 MB RAM. Special features like that of a 5 MP camera with autfocus and a flash have caught all the glimpse of the phone. The connectivity of the hone is with 3G via 800/ 1900 MHz EV-DO Rev.A, Wi-Fi b/g/n.

It also has GPS and Bluetooth 2.1 installed in it. It has a microSd card slot which is extendable upto 32GB. A 3.5 mm head phone jack back by software BlackBerry OS 6 seems to gives users what they want.

The Battery life gives a 4.5 hors of talk time and 10.5 days of stand by time. The dimensions of the BlackBerry 9670 phone are 96 (175.5 when open) x 60 x 18.5 mm and 131 g. The flip of the phone does require some extra effort to open or close. The hinge of the hone seem pretty solid but there are more chances of I breaking up if the necessary circumstances do prevails with the phone. It’s got a sleek metallic trim with a smooth top surface and a defined separation between top and lower halves.

E-mail has always been the biggest selling apps with BlackBerry. There is variety of personal information management applications which can keep you productive, like Tasks (to do list), document viewing apps Word Docs, for PDFs, and PowerPoint presentations.
