Audi rejoices with record growth in India, bullish plans for the year ahead
Audi, the German luxury automaker has had a successful sales target in India from January to September with a record growth of 63% over the same period last year. The luxury automaker sold 2,178 cars during this period in the country which gives reasons for it to be optimistic to achieve its annual sales volume of 3,000 cars for 2010.
The car maker has planned a growth strategy with focus on introduction of new and energetic products and network expansion, says Audi. Audi is quickly catching up with the other German rivals and sees Indian automobile market as a fast growing hub for its current assembles such as the A4, A6 and Q5 SUV.
Audi will launch its much awaited Audi A8 LWB towards December this year and has really bullish plans for the upcoming year. The renewal of limousines beginning with Audi A8 will definitely provide a boost to Audi in India. The LWB (long Wheel Base) version of its much successful luxury sedan in India will be equally successful, feels Audi. The powerful vehicle, the Audi A8 LBW can accelerate from 1-100 kmph in less than 4.9 seconds thanks to its 6.3L 493 bhp engine that can accelerate such a huge car to such unimaginable speed.
Audi is excited to have a successful year ahead not only because its LWB is gearing for a launch towards this year end but also because it recently added a new engine variant to its highly successful SUV Audi Q7. Audi says that it is happy to retain its leadership position in the luxury SUV segment for the period January to September 2010.
With a 47% growth in sales in September this year Audi seems to rejoice its success in the country with 302 cars sold as against 205 cars in the same period last year.
