Android Tablet Sakshat Price in India

The delay of the $35 academic tablet in India points out various complications in the tablets. The big news is that HCL has withdrawn to raise the tender money but what doesn’t meet the eye is the fact that “Sakshat” the Android at $35 would not be so cheap after all.

The failure of the Educational laptop which was sold at $10 and was later found to be of substandard quality questions that would $35 Android Tablet have the same fate. The delay in the release of the tablet is a big letdown by the Government of India again as people were looking forward to the $35 Android Tablet.

The withdrawal of the HCL to raise the security deposit of 60 crore is raising questions. The amount of 60 crore is not at all big for a large and prosperous company like HCL and to go back on one’s word is also raising many eyebrows in the world of technology. People are speculating whether HCL feels that the government won’t be able to manufacture a tablet at such a low price.

HCL on the other hand is claiming that they did not at any point of time accept the tender officially and so they are not going back on any words of theirs. These complications arose after the listings of the tablet were done to see that it is actually not possible to make an Android Tablet at such a low price. The backing off of the giant company HCL was really a shocker. However the government is saying that the tablet would be in the market by mid 2011.

The Android Tablet Sakshat whose idea was conceived to spread technology in the hands of the citizens has certain attractive specifications. As the name suggest the operating system of the tablet is Android and it can also run PDF documents with You tube video, web browsing and all the latest technologies including the networking sites.

Although the details of the hardware are not yet clear however, tablet’s memory is to be of 2 GB with Wi Fi connectivity and really low power consumption.
